Recently, I started playing RimWorld again! RimWorld is a great little game where you act as an “overseer”, controlling a few pawns who are trying to survive on an alien world out on the rim. Along the way you try to recruit more pawns into your colony, and the ultimate goal is usually to either build or find a spaceship so your colonists can escape. There are other scenarios to play, and nothing stopping you from going in other directions.
It’s also a brutally hard game, but so fun! One of the most fun aspects of it is the ability to give the pawns custom names. I like to name the pawns after my friends. The pawns have their own social relationships…they compliment or insult one another, and flirt. Pawns will get into relationships, break up, get married… And if you mod the game you can even get them pregnant!
This just barely scratches the surface of the antics you can get up to in the game… If you’ve never tried it, definitely consider giving it a go.

Easily forbid and unforbid items, select similar things, have things hauled urgently and affect the entire map with powerful new tool extensions.
Adds coolers that sit inside walls.
Adds vents that sit inside walls.
You want more zoom and different paning? This little mod enhances the in-game camera so you can zoom in much more than usual. Perfect for this one great screenshot or for showing your viewers all the details while streaming.
Ceiling and Floor Lamps [continued]
Adds more lamps to the game.
Centralized Climate Control (Continued)
Centralized air cooling/heating system for RimWorld. Build large piped air climate systems away from your buildings.
Organize your colonists into groups. Providing you with a much easier method of managing the madness that unfolds as your colony grows.
With this mod you will be able to not only view your entire power grid (like the blue lines that show up only when using the “Place Conduit” tool) but also designate mass amounts of conduits to be deconstructed.
Add curbs to decorate the edges of the road.
Builds on the entire game from the industrial age though to the spacer age. It adds more tiers of research and endgame depth, including items, weapons, productions, and power, etc.
Medkit accessory with buttons allowing the colonist to bandage their own wounds or others on the spot. Repair kit accessory which allows constructors to salvage broken components while repairing buildings, these can then be fixed at a machining table.
Expanded Prosthetics and Organ Engineering
Craft your own prostheses and artificial organs.
Haul to Stack
Haulers will prioritize hauling to an existing stack even when multiple pawns are hauling.
Adds a toggle button to show a live temperature based colour gradient over indoor areas in your base. The gradient uses the familiar colour scheme of green being the midpoint for human comfort (in the game that’s 22C / 71.6F).
Allows you to host, entertain and recruit visitors.
Turrets will last forever without any additional top-up at all.
A unique way to make unique items for your special colonists: Randomly enchants equipment.
LWM’s Deep Storage
Organize your supplies, loot, clothes, and even your garbage, to allow you a tidy base where your colonists aren’t simply dumping stuff on the floor.
Adds a comprehensive medical overview tab, showing your colonists’ health at a glance.
Misc. MapGen FactionBase
This will sometimes create faction bases from the available blueprints.
Create some more detailed ruins on map creation. Requires Miscellaneous CORE.
Adds a hauling bot and cleaning bot to buy from traders.
Required for Misc. mods.
More Furniture [1.1 + 1.2]
Adds about a dozen new items to fill your colonist’s rooms with.
More Trade Ships
Increases the rate at which orbital trade ships appear.
No Power Wires
A simple mod to hide the little power connection wires (the wires that go from conduit to each individual object that uses electricity).
Pawns Paint! Restored (Continued)
Let your colonists paint! Paintings give beauty and lets pawns look at them for joy.
All buildings that have quality (beds, tables etc) will only be build by the best builder to ensure the best outgoing quality.
Lowers the required room sizes to better match realistic sizes of a house.
Removes Tainted Clothes
Removes tainted effect from clothes.
Rimworld Search Agency (Continued)
This mod allows you to search by name in various filters.
RimWriter – Books, Scrolls, Tablets, and Libraries (Continued)
Adds a lot of content focused on writing.
Snap Out offers you a fair and balanced way to talk pawns out of their breaks, be it a prisoner, a visitor, or a colonist.
Increase the stack sizes however you wish!
Enables miniaturization for several non-furniture items.
Vanilla Armour Expanded
New items cover all technological eras, from wooden armours of neolithic tribes, through chainmails and chestplates of medieval kingdoms, bulletproof vests and ghillie suits of the modern era combat all the way to two, brand new variants of a regular marine armor – one of them with an integrated ranged shield belt!

Adds some sort of progression to the furniture of the rim.
