HIDDEN TREASURE
This spooky plum and teal colorway is perfect for fall and is dyed on Iron Dragon’s springy and soft bulky weight 3-ply Solitude base:
● 100% superwash merino
● 106 yards (97 meters)
● 100 gram (3.5 ounce) hank
This chunky yarn is the perfect choice for heavy sweaters, toques, scarves, mittens, cowls, and more! You’ll be sure to stay warm and cozy in winter while wearing items made with it. Best of all, bulky yarn works up quick so your projects will be done in no time!
Solitude has 3 plies, and plies mean longevity: less pilling, less strand breakage, and less thinning. Plus, those plies mean you’ll see fat, full stitches!
Although superwash yarn can be machine washed and tumble dried on low, for best results wash items by hand and lay flat to dry.
Iron Dragon yarn is hand-dyed and rinsed in a clean, pet-free, and smoke-free environment in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada.

INSPIRATION PHOTO
Have you ever seen a pāua shell? Chances are you have, but it was called abalone or ormer. Pāua is the Māori name for the edible sea snail Haliotis iris that the shell comes from. The shells are so incredibly pretty once polished and I couldn’t resist bringing one home with me from New Zealand when I visited Aotearoa in 2018.
Before the shells are polished, the pāua snail looks a lot like a rock, wouldn’t you agree? This is why it’s such a hidden treasure… Polish it up to reveal its beauty!
SHARING
Please share your work by tagging me (@akaIronDragon on Instagram or Twitter) so I can see your projects! You could be featured in my feed!
Iron Dragon is also on Ravelry.
Every effort is made to depict skein color accurately but actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.
Each skein is also unique: no two will be exactly the same, even when dyed together. For best results, alternate skeins every other round or row.
Don’t forget to order enough yarn for your project!
